Mackenzie Cowell is one of the founders of DIYbio.org, an organization that aims to help make biology a worthwhile pursuit for citizen scientists, amateur biologists, and DIY biological engineers who value openness and safety. Mackenzie was recently interviewed by MAKE magazine for an ongoing series of video interviews with notable working scientists and technologists.
